Benedict Farm Park

benedict2The Town of Montgomery has completed the Playground at Benedict Farm Park! The playground encompasses two different sections: one for children ages 2-5 years old, one for children 5-12 years old. This playground can accommodate over 100 children and is ADA compliant for children with disabilities. The playground equipment components will challenge children and provide beneficial physical fitness.

Benedict Farm Park is located at 1675 State Route 17K and is equipped with portable sanitary facilities. There is an additional parking area that provides easy access to the playground.

This project began in 1999 with the purchase of this 102-acre property. Funding for this project was provided by the Orange County Community Development Block Grant Program, along with donations of services and materials from Bluestone Excavation, Taylor Recycling, Engineering Properties, Chemung Supply, Newburgh Winwater, Scott's Corner Hardware and the Town of Montgomery Highway Department. Thank you for making this project a reality for the children!benedict3

Signs at Benedict Farm Park

The "Better Site Design" project at the Benedict Farm Park was funded in part by a grant from the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation.  Implementation of stormwater management practices are reflected in the education handouts and available for you to print out.  Please view these documents which were made available through this grant and may be downloaded as 8.5" x 11" handouts.  The attached documents were made into signs and may be viewed at the park in the kiosk located by the Wallkill River.
