Note: Office hours for the Town Historian, Suzanne Isaksen, are from 9:00am until Noon on the first Wednesday of each month or by appointment. Telephone: (845) 457-9098 The work of the Town of Montgomery Historian is defined by two official sources: The Town of Montgomery Supervisor and Town Board, and the State of New York. Article 57, Divisions of History and Public Records, Section 57.13 of Arts and Cultural Affairs Law sets the guidelines for the Local Government Historian. This law can be viewed at the website of the New York State Museum (http://www.nysm.nysed.gov/services/artslaw.html). Pertinent points can be found below.
