NOTICE OF ANNUAL ELECTION

Notice is hereby given that pursuant to the provisions of the Town Law relating to the Walden Fire District, the annual election of the qualified electors of the Walden Fire District will be held at the District Headquarters, 230 Old Orange Avenue, Walden, New York, on December 8, 2009, between the hours of 6:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. for the purpose of electing:

One (1) District Commissioner for a term of five (5) years.

Pursuant to resolution duly adopted, every candidate for office must file with the District Secretary at least twenty (20) days prior to the date of such election his or her nominating petition subscribed by twenty-five (25) or more qualified electors of the District.  The petition can be picked up at the office of the Fire District Secretary, 230 Old Orange Avenue, Walden, New York.
