November 22, 2020 - IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT FROM Supervisor Brian Maher:

Town Hall will be closed to the Public this week due to one of our Town employees testing positive for COVID-19.  The Town is currently working with the New York State and Orange County Departments of Health and our employees are taking appropriate steps to self-quarantine, get tested and follow contact tracing procedures.

As we obtain a clearer picture on any additional individuals that may be affected, I want to let everyone know that Town Hall will still be operational.  We encourage all residents to use our drop box or contact Town Hall by phone or email.  You can call us at 845-457-2600 ext 2 or email This email address is being protected from spambots. The Towns of Montgomery and Crawford Dial-A-Ride Transportation will resume services on Monday, June 15 2020.

Facial coverings will be required to use the transportation services.  Please call 457-2622 for more information and reservations.

The Town of Montgomery reserves the right to deny ridership to any person who unreasonably interferes with the use, safety and enjoyment of our services for other riders or interferes with our employees while they are delivering services to our customers.   Thank you.

Dial A BusDial-A-Bus is a service that is open-to-the-public where you are required to call ahead of time to reserve a ride on the bus. You must call at least 24 hours in advance but typically you need to call further ahead because the service is on a first-come, first-served basis and the schedule can fill up quickly.  Please be aware that this is not like a taxi service, where you are picked up at your door at  whatever time you have arranged with the cab company. With Dial-A-Bus, the many requests for rides are accommodated as best as possible and riders are picked up and dropped off at the curb (curb-to-curb service). The schedule changes daily and specific pick up and drop off times cannot be guaranteed. Please allow extra travel time, as other passengers will likely be picked up or dropped off during your trip.

Dial-A-Bus service is available in the Town of Montgomery including the Villages of Maybrook, Montgomery, Walden and in the Town of Crawford, including the communities of Pine Bush, Bullville, Thompson Ridge and Searsville. This type of service is open-to-the-public and is curb-to-curb, meaning that passengers are picked up and dropped off at the curb (not taken door-to-door). Reservations are required at least 24 hours in advance. When you make your reservation, please specify where you would like to be picked up, your exact destination, and what time you would like to make the trip. The scheduler will accommodate you the best that they can. Buses are also wheelchair lift-equipped. Contact the Transportation Office for details about our service area and accommodations.

Senior Transportation is available to those individuals 60 years of age and older. Twice monthly, seniors can reserve the “medical run” to facilities on and near Crystal Run Road between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m.  All medical appointments must conclude by 12:00 p.m. for the return home. Seniors can also enjoy scheduled trips out of the area for shopping and other events.

Services are provided Monday thru Friday. Hours of operation: 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Reservations accepted Monday thru Friday 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.  Regular Fare: $1.00 one-way • Children under 10 ride free when accompanied by an adult • senior/disabled citizens and medicare cardholders: 50¢ one-way.  Call 845-457-2622 for reservations.
